• NONLINEAR TIME SERIES ANALYSIS
  • main interest is focused on methods of nonlinear data analysis, like recurrence plots; check the comprehensive bibliography about recurrence plots for interesting literature about it
  • application related work is in projects about climate impact on lake deposits, climate dynamics, geomagnetic variations and genetics, as well
  • past work in an ESA project about 3D data analysis for the assessment of structural changes in trabecular bone (osteoprosis, long-term space flight and microgravity)
  • current interests in complex networks with applications in climate impact research, and combinations of time series analysis, recurrence plots and complex networks

• CAVE RESEARCH
  • research is mainly focused on caves in Switzerland (research with isaak), but also on caves in Caucasus, Kosovo and Germany
